Overview

We require an experienced couple to take day to day responsibility for a large herd between Bishop Auckland and Consett in County Durham. The herd is currently transitioning form all year round calving to an autumn and spring block and seeking to achieve more milk from forage. Facilities include a modern 70 point rotary parlour.
Working alongside the owners the role would entail all aspects of herdsmanship including milkings, fertility and feet, herd health and welfare, young stock and calves and daily record keeping between the couple.
Family housing is available on farm along with a competitive salary with bonus schemes and regular time off.
